Training sessions take place in sessions of two to three hours devoted to specific functional areas, such as order entry. Training sessions take place throughout implementation. Initial training occurs, then continues after initial data is loaded on the system and resumes just before live operation. Follow-up training follows live operation. Training is close in time to its actual use. To gain the most benefit users should not be interrupted during training sessions.
